Description:
Schotia brachypetala is a South African tree. It has nice red flowrs that attarct sunbirds in summer. Now one can see the seed pods from last year, the pod frame remains and the seeds are hanged in the air, quite a unique feature. The leaves are eaten by game and the trunk and roots are used in traditional medicine and for furniture and the roasted seed are edible. As u can see this is a very useful and beautiful tree.
