Description:
This is a 'skeleton' of an annual desert plant called Aizoon canariense. The mother plant dries out at the end of spring, but do not disperse the seeds, they are locked and protected from predation in the dry fruits and plant slkeleton untill a new rain will come in autumn-winter. Only strong enough rain will cause the dry fruits to open, enough rain for germination and establishment of new seedlings.
