DescriptionAPI Native, warm-season, perennial, small, densely tufted grass to 50 cm tall; nodes are hairy. Leaves are pale green, velvety, 2-4 mm wide and up to 8 cm long. More commonly found in drier areas, especially on shallow or coarse soils; in grasslands, woodlands and undisturbed roadsides. Native biodiversity. Plants usually occur at low density and produce little feed for livestock. Forage value is reasonable while actively growing but poor when mature.
