Description:

Summary[edit] DescriptionAPI English: Supplemental Movie 1: migration of an E10.5-born Purkinje-like cell in an E12.5 cerebellar slice. The labeled cell (of constant 150 μm length) exhibits somal (green arrow) movement away from the ventricular surface in a fashion that can be considered radial migration, but its leading process (magenta arrow at its tip) moves tangentially (parallel to the pial surface). Figure 3A-D are snapshots taken from this movie. Generally, slices prepared from E12.5 cerebella tend to bend during culture, becoming more 'V' or 'U' shaped than when in vivo, which sometimes results in partial detachment of slices from collagen gel, as in this case.
