North of Kalemie, Kilicha River, 1880 m. Captured in a clearing near a stream in a deep valley. The forest covering the surrounding slopes was dense with tall trees (40â50 m) covering the surrounding slopes and had a fairly open understorey. The clearing was formed in an area where the stream had deposited gravel in the wet season but was at a much lower level at the time of capture (dry season).
