Description:

An unusual desert grasshopper. It mostly resembles a grasshopper especially in the face and overall morphology, but the long hind legs, antennae and other traits are like that of a katydid! Found it perched on rocks in a narrow, sheltered canyon. Very minimal plant life in this area. Got to be something interesting, right?
