Celestial Protein Crystal
Description:
Description: English: This monster crystal made from the crystallization of an enzyme found in the red flour beetle measures in at about 700 microns, or 0.7 mm. The unusual shape of the crystal invokes thoughts of some sort of brutal weaponry or of a post-modern art piece. I personally thought it looked like a spaceship off Star Trek when I first saw it.English: Celestial crystal of a transferase enzyme found in the red flour beetle. Date: 10 October 2017.
