Camas pocket gopher crop

Image of Camas Pocket Gopher

Description:

Description: English: Photograph taken on habitat restoration site where the gophers were being trapped out of concern that they were destroying sensitive vegetation. Due to the trap being too small, the animals nose was caught for an indeterminate amount of time. Camas pocket gophers are the largest member of the species and are frequently too large for conventional traps. They can be tame, but fierce when in a defensive position.
