It may seem strange botanising in the Alps in September but for a while i've had a bit of a thing about the big alpines in these lush communities, and late summer/autumn is a good time to see them. The nursery is quiet at this time of year, and I plan to offer some of them on the nursery since nobody else much bothers with them. I got some seed while I was in the area - various interesting umbellifers and thistles, as well as the more obvious Gentiana and Aconitum. Date: 9 September 2013, 16:03.
