Ovis orientalis aries (4811' N 1629' E)

Description:
2009.09.13: Austria, Vienna XXII. district, 155 m AMSL (grazing on Lobau Heisslnde = heath).Sheep are used to keep some of Lobau heaths free of bushes; they're however only allowed to graze after the end of the orchids flowering season. Here they fled their shed as they saw me; they ran around it but then returned - and hid again in their shed: so that's sheep for you, no real logic behind it all.German name: Hausschaf
