Pelagomonas (pea-ladge-owe-moan-ass) ) calceolata (pelagophyte) is one of the tiny eukaryotic marine phytoplankters. It has a single flagellum that is anchored near the posterior of the cell. There is a single chloroplast that fills most of the slipper-like cell. Phase contrast microscopy.
