Monotypic taxa
This collection contains monotypic taxa, meaning taxa with only one type species represented in the genus. For example,the red panda is the only species in the genus Ailurus: A. fulgens. Families can also be referred to as monotypic, represented by a single genus and single species. This list (so far) only contains organisms specifically in a monotypic genus.
