Echinacea purpurea (Eastern Purple Coneflower) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States and North America. They have simple, simple leaves and purple flowers. Flowers are visited by Eastern Giant Swallowtail, Little Glassywing, Polites peckius, and Bombus griseocollis. Individuals can grow to 0.57 m.
