Thuja occidentalis (Arborvitae) is a species of tree in the family Cupressaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to North America, Eastern North America, United States, Canada, The Contiguous United States, and northern hemisphere. They have simple, simple leaves and cone. Individuals can grow to 19 m. Reproduction is monoecious.
