Welcome to Africa's largest mammal conservation project! The aim of MammalMAP (the African Mammal Atlas Project) is to collect and collate 21st century records for all mammal species in Africa - the big ones, the small ones, the dry ones and the wet ones. This information is urgently needed to guide animal conservation efforts across the African continent. Undoubtedly the most exciting thing about this project is that ANYONE, ANYWHERE can get involved! And by getting involved, and helping us collect information about the whereabouts of Africa's mammals, each and every contributor plays a crucial role in conservation.
