Matthew Cicanese

Conservationist | Photographer | Filmmaker

About me

I am a conservation ecologist, wildlife macro-photographer, and documentary filmmaker who explores realms of the micro-cosmos in the natural world that are teaming with biodiversity. I work to inspire humans to appreciate the fragility, beauty, and deep complexity of Earth through larger-than-life imagery and documentary filmmaking. I graduated from Florida Southern College with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies, and am currently a graduate student of Duke University earning a Master of Fine Arts in Experimental and Documentary Arts. I plan to hold a career as a National Geographic photographer and filmmaker, so I can communicate the importance and beauty of biodiversity through my works to the world.
