@Valter Jacinto: OK. Japan sends thanks for the Tulipa info.

@Valter Jacinto: Thank you for the response to at least part of my message. The area's name, Vale do Carvalho and not CarvalhoS or Carvalhal suggests it's an isolated and perhaps man-planted specimen. Is this so?

@Valter Jacinto: Gosh, Valter, you are BRILHANTE! Many thanks. The Japanese should be delighted especially if the plants have remained in those spots for years. Perhaps you can help elsewhere. I am working to establish reserves for threatened native flora, particularly the carvalho de Monchique, Quercus marianica ex Q. canariensis and other vestigial oaks in Monchique and Aljezur. I know some remain in the Rocha da Pena and Fonte Benémola areas of Sotavento. Can you help here also? My e-address was included in the previous request but disappeared. Since no one else is (apparently) interested in the subject, here goes a second attempt. Again, thank you very much. Antonio Lambe infoatAAmbientaldotorg

@Valter Jacinto: Dear Valter, A Japanese organisation has asked me where in the Algarve, ideally in the Barlavento, Tulipa australis (or T. sylvestris subsp. australis) can be seen for photographic purposes. Could you help, please? Pode responder em português. Obrigado, Antonio Lambe
