Not Echinometra. Seems like Eucidaris. Please verify.

Please make me a manager of the collection, so I can add taxon pages that need to be split, merged or deleted. Thanks

@José R Ferrer-Paris: Sorry, I missed your reply. Adding species to Wikipedia will work to get them added to EOL. The only problem right now is that Wikipedia imports are on hold. When they start up again, hopefully soon, your species should become available on EOL.

@Thomas Horn: The Wikipedia import is on hold at the moment. I'm not sure when it will resume. We are working on a new way of harvesting Wikipedia that will cover all languages and will result in better taxon coverage. So far we've only harvested the English version, and we are only harvesting family level and below. The work list is not currently filtered by language. There will be better language filters in the new version of EOL that's currently under development.

How can I make sure, that Wikipedia articles are found by EOL and subsequently are available in the curator working list? I input German common names of taxa but Wikipedia articles seem not to be recognized (after two weeks). Furthermore the working list does not appear to be filtered by language since English Wikipedia articles are in the "German" list. Thanks!

José R Ferrer-Paris commented on "EOL Curators":

@Katja Schulz: The problem is that some endemic andean butterflies do not show in any of the taxonomies of EOL (for example Diaphanos huberi, Steromapedaliodes sanchezi, and the new species of Redonda). I already have wikipedia entries for some species, for example for Redonda chiquinquirana there are entries in the english (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redonda_chiquinquirana) and spanish wikipedia (https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redonda_chiquinquirana) and on wikispecies (https://species.wikimedia.org/wiki/Redonda_chiquinquirana). Will they get automatically included when the wikipedia content gets harvested again?

Katja Schulz commented on "EOL Curators":

@José R Ferrer-Paris: The best way to add a new species to EOL is to upload content for them. Usually, uploading an image to Flickr or adding a Wikipedia articles about the species will do the trick. However, at the moment, the updating of large resources like Flickr and Wikipedia is on hiatus due to some much needed rebuilding of our harvesting code. So it would take a while for the species to get to EOL that way. If you could produce a small resource about the species based on your paper, we could use that to add the species quickly. Do you have images or text that you could upload to EOL for each of the species you want to add to the taxonomy?

What is the best way to add a new species to EOL? last year we published descriptions of several butterfly species in the genus Redonda (Lepidoptera: Nymphalidae: Satyrinae), how can I add information about them if they do not appear in the EOL taxonomies?

Following articles are about the same plant as in entries (listed by id number): /30191534 /5734915 /2906227 /2885913 /43174523 /39937166 This can be confirmed from CODEX ALIMENTARIUS database, where Korean melon is listed under trinomial name the same. Note that C. melo var. makuwa (Makino) has synomyms of C. melo var. conomon and C. melo var. agrestis (Naudin), according to several sources. Following is some of such: (1) A.K. Thompson, "Fruit and Vegetables: Harvesting, Handling and Storage", Vol. 2, p 352 (2) Y.P.S. Bajaj, "High-Tech and Micropropagation", pp. 345-346 (3) H.A. Kim et. al., "De Novo Transcriptome Analysis of Cucumis melo L. var. makuwa" Could someone merge above articles in one?

From Sara Lourie: this one doesn't look like H. hippocampus - the snout's too long, and the filament in front of the coronet too thick, assuming that it's European, I'd guess H. guttulatus
