@Katja Schulz: I have my Florida Flora and Fauna community [http://eol.org/communities/120/newsfeed] which is intended to house all my Florida collections. I have a collection for Florida mammals [http://eol.org/collections/26060] that I want to add to to it. When I go to add the collection to the community these are the messages I see: Florida Flora and Fauna one_available = true (which is odd) and at the bottom of the page is the message : Sorry, no communities are available to share this collection with. I have been getting a lot of EOL 'timeout' messages the last few days so maybe the website is a bit too busy?

@Howell Curtis: Thanks for your thoughts, Howell. It is hard to declare minimum standards for photos because there are so many potential uses and few universal rules will work across all taxa. We have tended to keep the tent pretty wide open and rely on curators to decide more specifically how to select the best and hide the worst. So far, these are the basic standards we recommend for star ratings and other decisions. You could propose other rules for your area of interest -- perhaps start a community of other Lepidopteran curators?

@Robert Hole, Jr: SPIRE gives us a lot of funny taxa. We'll have to weed them out at some point. For now, we're just collecting them here: EOL pages that don't represent real taxa. I have made you a manager, so you can add more pseudo-taxa when you find them.
