Yes, I've been using bulk import regularly. Very cool feature! I have over 600 images on the site now:) I think Eli has been using it, too.

Eli and other Scratchpads users - I just posted a comment on this slowness on the Scratchpads list of issues - please add comments if it also bothers you!

Eli, Yes, it is surprisingly slow, even if I am on a superfast University connection.

Hi all Scratchpaders. Eli, this is mostly a question for you, since you seem to have figured it out, but responses from anybody else will be appreciated: I've been waiting for the batch-upload feature for metadata for images. The ScratchPads developers say: "This feature is now available on your site under the import section (an additional template can be downloaded for each import which contains the values already present on your site)." What import section is meant? It seems to be disabled for Media Gallery. When I try to go through the Taxon Description upload, the template file doesn't have any relevant headers. Any more information about this? Thanks! Jiri

HELP PLEASE... We lost access to our site http://xyleborini.myspecies.info/ ! Reloading is not helping, it's just giving me and the users error messages. Would someone know who to contact for help? Unfortunately I can't open an "Issue" for the developers, because I don't have any website to log into... Thanks in advance!

Images cut off: Hi ScratchPaddies. Most of my recently uploaded images in ScratchPads are displayed so that their longer ends are cut off, which renders them pretty much useless. If you go to my scratchpad site (xyleborini.myspace.info) you will immediately see what I mean. It seems to be set up so that images are resized to fit the shorter side of the image box, rather than the longer side. There must be some trivial switch, but if not, and if it's in the code, is there any hope that it will be addressed? Eli already mentioned to me that it is possible on other platforms, but I am wondering if anybody has had, and solved, this issue in ScratchPads? Thank you! Jiri

Hello everybody, particularly ScratchPads users. Most of my images uploaded to my ScratchPads are displayed so that the shorter side fills the space, which means that he longer side is over the image box, and gets cut off. If you go to my scratchpad site (xyleborini.myspace.info) you will immediately see what I mean. How can I set up the image display function correctly? Thank you! Jiri

Hi all, I concur... I attempted to start a new LifeDesk, but no registration e-mail came. Jennifer, is there an alternative way to do it? Thanks!

Hola, Two humble questions for the more experienced among us: 1 - most of the species in my group (Scolytinae, bark and ambrosia beetles) are mentioned as being listed in several different classifications. When I am associating an object with a name, do I need to associate it manually with the same name in all these classifications? 2 - In the same beetle group, information in Distribution has been uniformly supplied by NatureServe. Most of it is ok, but they seem to have assigned the status "Native" to all species in Canada and the US, although about half of them are exotic. I don't want to distrust and make invisible all the distribution data. How should I correct this one mistake repeated in my many species? Thank you!
