    @Hossein Rajaei Sh.: http://eol.org/content_partners/18 claims it harvested 6 hours ago, so maybe there's something wrong somewhere?

    Dear Curators, I uploaded new photos in Flicker, 3 days ago, label them with species name, and linked them to the EOL group, however I cannot see them in EOL to connect them into the target taxa. How I can link them in EOL? How many days take time the photos to be harvested by EOL from Flicker? Do I get any message when the new photos are in EOL? Thanks in advance for your reply. Hossein

    @Katja Schulz: Thanks. Seems done now. Glad there's been time - it also automatically caused the correct removal of 65 wrongly classified maps from http://eol.org/collections/23389

    @Yan Wong: Just heard back from Patrick about this a few minutes ago. The harvest is still going. Apparently, there are lots of new images, and there was a problem slowing down thumbnail creation. It should be done sometime tomorrow. Patrick will look into the thumbnail problem, so future harvests can proceed more swiftly.

    @петя спасова: Yes, you can post taxon problems to Taxon Clean-Up To Do List and out of place content (e.g., an image of a fish showing up on an orchid page) to Misplaced EOL Content. Thanks!

    @Hans-Martin Braun: Thanks, this is now fixed. If you see any more problems like this, please report them here: Taxon Clean-Up To Do List. We'll then take care of them as soon as possible.

    @Cindy Parr: Lunella coronata has two different entries for the identical species: http://eol.org/pages/3050361/names and http://eol.org/pages/3013236/names. Whatever the reason, something seems to be wrong here.

    @Yan Wong: The Wikimedia Commons collection should update over the weekend, and we'll harvest it every couple of weeks after that. Thanks for the nudge!

    @Katja Schulz: On that note, I see it's been over 3 months since wikimedia was harvested (http://eol.org/content_partners/119). Are there plans to run it again soon? Have you sorted out your disk space issues?

    @Eric Peterson:

    A 'harvest now' button would be great, but I'm afraid it's not feasible right now. Harvesting data from over 300 sources is a very resource-intensive endeavor.

    Flickr gets harvested almost every night, so most of the time, there will be a 24 hour turnaround for images there. Sometimes it may take longer if there are harvesting delays. Calphotos is harvested weekly, so the turnaround time will be a little longer there. You can check the CalPhotos collection to get an idea when it was last harvested, but note that "weekly" does not mean exactly every 7 days. Sometimes it may take a day or two longer.

    What is the image harvesting cycle? I'd like to work on photos and other information for a number of lichens. It is a little awkward to post images on Flickr or CalPhotos, then have to wait an unspecified length of time before the images show up. Knowing how long it will be would help. Even better would be some sort of 'harvest now' button on the media page for species and sub-specific taxa. Thanks!

    If you haven't tried it, I invite you to try the manual recropping tools for thumbnail images. As you've probably noticed, we have an automatic cropping algorithm that often works, but slightly less often doesn't work. It takes the upper left part of an image, so for animals facing right it doesn't work at all. You can recrop any image by going to the image page, drawing a square on it, then saving using the "crop image" button.
