Scott Thomson commented on "Chelodina rugosa Ogilby, 1890":

Due to the publishing of Opinion 2315 by the ICZN, this species has had its name changed to Chelodina Macrochelodina oblonga. so we need to determine how to fix that here.

    Scott Thomson commented on "Chelodina":

The classification of this group has gone through radical changes in recent times. The Reptile Database has been kept up to date on this and will hopefully soon be up to date. The Genus is now split into 3 subgenera and the species have had some name changes as well.

    Scott Thomson commented on "Chelidae":

I have set the NCBI taxonomy as preferred because it has more of the actual genera than any other. But even its not complete as Flaviemys is missing.

Scott Thomson commented on "Elseya novaeguineae":

This species was moved from Myuchelys back to Elseya by several authors in 2011. Best classification that of Rhodn et al., 2012.

Scott Thomson commented on an older version of Comprehensive Description:

The Phylogeny shown here needs to be updated. The genus Chelodina is currently divided into 3 genera (Chelodina, Macrochelodina and Macrodieremys). also the genus Elseya has been spit into Elseya and Myuchelys.
