Robert Flogaus-Faust commented on "Medicago lupulina BLACK MEDICK":
I may have been mistaken in this case because the fruits look hairy, not spiny. Still rather unusual, but this might be Medicago lupulina anyway.
-
Robert Flogaus-Faust commented on "Image of Trifolium longipes":
This is Trifolium hybridum. See http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File_talk:Trifolium_hybridum_USDA.jpg .

Robert Flogaus-Faust commented on "Veronica chamaedrys":
This is certainly not Veronica chamaedrys, because the bracts of the flowers look like normal leaves. This might be Veronica persica or a similar species
-
Robert Flogaus-Faust commented on an older version of Medicago lupulina:
certainly a different species
-
Robert Flogaus-Faust commented on an older version of Medicago lupulina BLACK MEDICK:
This is Medicago, but it cannot be Medicago lupulina because of the spiny fruits.

Robert Flogaus-Faust commented on an older version of Image of Geranium sylvaticum:
This specimen looks very odd. The leaves are very deeply dissected with unusually narrow lobes. The white interior part of the flowers is not clear. This image should be revised by an expert because it could show a different species.
-
Robert Flogaus-Faust commented on an older version of Scilla:
This image does not show Scilla bifolia. This might be Scilla siberica instead, but in a botanical garden there may be other lookalikes.
-
Robert Flogaus-Faust commented on an older version of Image of Galinsoga quadriradiata:
This could well be Galinsoga parviflora because I cannot see any spreading hairs.
-
Robert Flogaus-Faust commented on an older version of Image of Sonchus asper:
This might be Sonchus oleraceus. The leaves look bluish green and there are hardly any incisions. Nevertheless it would be nice to see more of the plant.
-
Robert Flogaus-Faust commented on "Image of Medicago lupulina":
After a closer look at the original I actually found something, which looks like a fruit of Medicago lupulina. So the determination could be alright, unless there are lookalikes with unusually few flowers in the area. I have never found a specimen of Medicago lupulina with so few flowers.

Sorry for this. This is the wrong image for the above comment. Please ignore this!

This is certainly not Veronica agrestis. It looks like Veronica persica with its very long fruit pedicels.
