I received my Ph.D. in Ecology & Evolution from the State University of New York-Stony Brook and did postdoctoral work at the National Zoological Park (genetics lab) and University of California-Berkeley. I have taught at the University of Maryland-College Park and worked at the USDA Beltsville Agricultural Research Center.
Curation scope
My own research has focused on birds and insects, but I have very broad organismal interests and background.
