@John Starmer: WoRMS tells us that Geograpsus lividus is a synonym of G. stormi, so these names are merged into a common EOL taxon concept. Do you think they should be treated as separate species?

@Thomas Karrer: I just checked your observations on iNaturalist. Only research grade iNat observations are imported to EOL. I just confirmed your id on this one, so it is now research grade and should come to EOL with our next harvest. However it will be imported to Graphium sarpedon, not Graphium sarpedon nipponus, because you only provide the species id on iNaturalist. I think the subspecies is not in the iNaturalist database and would have to be added there. For this observation, you still need to agree to the id to get it to research grade. This observation is already research grade and looks like it should have been imported previously to Graphium sarpedon, but I don't see it there. Let's check again in a couple of days to see if your images will come in with our next iNat import. Also, note that your Papilio xuthus observations are all missing IDs, so they cannot be imported. If you add those IDs, I will confirm them, so they will be research grade.

As a curator, you can associate this image with Trichosanthes wallichiana. Look for the add new association link in the top right corner of the image data page. Then enter Trichosanthes wallichiana in the Add a taxon association box and pick one of the search results. Ideally, though, you would fix the problem at the source. Maybe somebody at MorphBank could help you with their taxon association method?
