Cyndy Parr commented on an older version of Ensete ventricosum:

Jacqueline, can you explain? Are you saying that this image is misidentified? I don't see anything saying that it is in the Musa genus, but if the photo appears there it may be a problem in our names and not with the photo.

Arthur, the locality in the photo caption doesn't match the locality in the source information. Which one is right?

Trusting this based on identification at the zoo where the photo was taken. Source has this description: English: Yellow-breasted Magpie (Cissa hypoleuca concolor) in the Walsrode Bird Park, Germany. Deutsch: Östliche Jagdelster (Cissa hypoleuca concolor) im Vogelpark Walsrode, Deutschland. Français : Pirolle à ventre jaune (Cissa hypoleuca concolor) dans le Parc des Oiseaux Walsrode, Allmagne.

Not possible to distinguish from C. turcosa in the photo but giving benefit of the doubt to photographer who likely used locality.

Chris, feel free to use that resource to write a better article! Just click on "Add an article" when you are on the Details tab. Soft sandy soil might be mentioned in the habitat chapter.

We should probably change the titles of the eFloras material to make clear that they are regional. Thanks for spotting it! Feel free to rate this lower than global treatments.

Tanya, this looks pretty good but I wonder if there are more scholarly references to include.I think the plural of mantis might be mantises or mantids if you are referring only to the Mantidae family.

Gonçalo -- you should be able to delete the collection when it is empty. So try removing all of the items in it and see if you get the option to remove the collection.

Hi Roger! Saw that you've been on recently. No curation yet? Surely there are some images to untrust or trust.

Cyndy Parr commented on "EOL Discussion Group":

Tanya -- URL to original data object only applies when you are using something EXACTLY as you found it. If you crafted your text are using multiple sources then this field should be left blank.

Similarly, the Bibliographic Citation field is for how people should cite the text object -- if you've copied it from someone else, and they have a "to cite this page" you should put it there so others will cite it properly. But if you have written your own text based on the work of others, then you can leave this area blank or put in a citation with yourself as author. Otherwise, you just list the references you used in the box at the bottom.

Cyndy Parr commented on "Sciurus griseus Ord, 1818":

Robert, thanks for your offer! We are just putting the finishing touches on bringing in video from YouTube. Try the following steps: Step 1: Set the license of the video(s) to "Creative Commons Attribution license (reuse allowed)". Step 2: In the description section, add the taxon name after the description just like this: [taxonomy:binomial=Sciurus griseus] Step 3: We'll subscribe to your YouTube channel so that our software system can automatically find and use the videos that you choose to share with us. That way if you have other videos you just need to follow steps 1 and 2 and in a day or two the video will show up on EOL!

Tanya (and others) if you work on a page, please keep it in the collection and leave a note that it needs to be curated -- we'll try to get a curator to come along behind you to mark the new content as "trusted." Thanks.
