Collimonas fungivorans is a genus of bacteria in the Oxalobacteraceae family which has antifungal activity  like against Aspergillus niger. C. fungivorans has the ability to grow on living fungal hyphae. Because of this ability it is named Collimonas fungivorans. Fungus comes from latin and meens mushroom and the latin adjektiv vorans meens devouring eating.
