BiologyInhabits streams with moderate to strong current over sandy or pebble substrate. Feeds on may-flies. Observed to form small troops of up to 20 individuals above the substrate around large rocks. This is in contrast with most of the nemacheilines which live solitary under stones. A female measuring 4.16 cm SL with distended belly and ripe ovulae, about 0.7 mm in diameter (Ref. 39226).
