Found usually among beds of branching corals in shallow lagoon reefs, singly or in small groups (Ref. 4966). Feed primarily on the polyps of Acropora corals. Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding (Ref. 205). Eggs are demersal and adhere to the substrate (Ref. 205). Males guard and aerate the eggs (Ref. 205).Trusted
