Range Description

The species is found in Gabon, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Cameroon, and Uganda.

In central Africa, it is known from Gabon, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo and Cameroon

In eastern Africa, it has been recorded in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Malawi and Burundi. It is known from forests in central and western Uganda. The locality "Kibwezi" in Kenya (given for P. flavipes) is probably wrong.

The species is reported from other parts of Africa (including western Africa) but these reports originate from prior confusion (due to poor description of the species) around this species (Dijkstra et al. 2006).
