Range Description

Ceriagrion auranticum has a wide range. The nominate subspecies C. a. auranticum is known from Indonesia (including Sumatra, Java and Sumba), Laos, Myanmar, Peninsular Malaysia, Thailand and Viet Nam (Hmlinen 1987, Tsuda 2000). The subspecies C. a. ryukyuanum is known from southern China (including Fujian (Hua 2000), Guangdong (Wilson and Xu 2007), Guangxi (Wilson and Reels 2003) and Hainan (Wilson and Reels 2001)), Hong Kong (Wilson 2004), Taiwan (Wang 2000), Korea (where it has been collected from several spots in the mid-south of the Korean peninsular (Lee 2001)), and the Ryukyus Islands in Japan (Sugimura et al. 2001).
