Description"Baird's Shrew has a very limited range in Oregon, in moist conifer forests. Its fur is darker brown in winter than in summer, when it is brownish-chestnut or olive brown, with paler sides and belly. As with most other shrew species, males and females are about the same size. The prey of this shrew includes insects, worms, snails, and spiders. Six other species of shrews live in the same forests as Baird's Shrew."
