Description of Bogoriella

Includes a single alkaliphilic strain isolated from soda soil (pH 10) near Lake Bogoria in the Kenyan-Tanzanian Rift Valley, Africa. Cells are more or less aggregated irregular rods or cocci with spiky structures distributed over the surface of each cell. The 16S rDNA sequence comparison revealed that B. caseilytica represents a distinct lineage within the order Actinomycetales
