Range Description

Most records for this recently described species are known from a relatively restricted area, close to Parque Estadual das Dunas de Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. (~1,700 ha). The species was thought to be endemic to the patchy forests along the dunes in this region (Freire 1999). However, there are further new, and as of yet unpublished, records by herpetologists working in Natal thatexpand the known range beyond this single known site.
