Unattached pseudodendromonad, one species, from soils. With triangular to elongate profile characteristic of the family, with two flagella at one anterior antero-lateral corner, and an ingestion apparatus at the other. No scales. Reported from soil, but subsequently observed in freshwater (unpublished observations). One species: A. peritocrescens Ref: Verhagen et al., 1994.
