Range Description

Dictyota major is an endemic species from the Galápagos Islands; recorded from: Floreana: Post Office Bay (Taylor 1945: type locality) and Black Beach (2004 NUC, K.A. Miller pers. comm.). Española: Gardner Bay (Taylor 1945). Santa Cruz: east side of Caamaño islet (1972 NUC, K.A. Miller pers. comm.). Isabela: Punto Moreno (2001 UC, K.A. Miller pers. comm.).
