Range Description

Melanodryas cucullata is endemic to Australia, where it has a wide range (del Hoyo et al. 2007). The subspecies melvillensis, of the Tiwi Islands, has not been found by exhaustive recent searches and is now considered extinct (Garnett et al. 2011).
