Description of Ministeria

Small marine organism measuring usually less than 5 µm in diameter, with equi-spaced smooth arms radiating from a spherical body. Two species described to date, one is able to vibrate and this suggests that it may have a flagellum. Mitochondrial cristae are flattened. From Atlantic and Pacific locations.
