Range Description

The nominate occurs through Brazil north of the Amazon, west to the Rio Negro, through the Guianan shield forests (French Guiana, Suriname and Guyana),SW Venezuela and just into extreme SE Colombia. P. c. napensis occurs from northwestern Brazil,throughout eastern Colombia, east Ecuador and northeast Peru. Widespread, but typically found well away from human settlement.
