Diagnostic Description

Pectoral fin rays 13 or more (Ref. 13608). Mouth wide. Additional lateral-line scale in premaxillary series. Shorter disk margin length when compared to nasutus and vespertilio. Pupil oval-shaped compared to other species' approximately kidney- or dumbbell-shaped one (Ref. 40824).
