Dieteria bigelovii (Purple Aster) is a species of biennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States and North America. They have simple, broad leaves and achenes. Flowers are visited by Common Branded Skipper, Pine White, Pahaska Skipper, and Green Comma. Individuals can grow to 1.2 m.
