According to Chris Thompson, with whom J.T. Cherian and I corresponded in September, there is apparently a data entry mistake in Systema Dipterorum. Cherian did describe in 1971 a Tricimba species, sextalis. The genus Tylopterna comes after Tricimba and the entry for sextalis is an orphan at the top of the page in the Oriental Diptera catalog, so it was probably simply mistranscribed. The master database has been corrected, and this should flow to Species 2000 and eventually back to EOL. To be clear: Tylopterna sextalis Cherian should be Tricimba sextalis.
