Introduction

The limits of this genus were recently re-established by Skevington and Yeates (2001). Five valid species are currently treated in Allomethus but some species of Eudorylas may have to be transferred into the genus as regional revisions proceed. Allomethus species are currently known from the Nearctic, Neotropical and Australasian regions.
