Range Description

This snake species is endemic to Madagascar where it is only known from a single site, at Ankarana in the north (Raselimanana 2008). It is believed to be endemic to the Ankarana massif with a small range, probably within the region of 250 km and potentially closer to 100 km (F. Glaw pers. comm. May 2011). It has been found between 50 and 80 m asl.
