Range Description

This species is endemic to the Pacific side of the State of Baja California, Mexico (Grismer 2002). It ranges from approximately 6 km north of Colonia Guerrero, southwards to just south of Punta Baja at the northern edge of Bahia El Rosario (a narrow strip about 87 km long). It ranges only 4 km inland in the Arroyo Socorro where the inshore breezes have carried the sand inland, but otherwise it is restrcited to the coastal margins. It also occurs on Isla San Gerónimo.
