Range Description

This species is endemic to the United States. Its range extends from New Jersey and Pennsylvania to northern Florida, and west to southern Iowa, northeastern Kansas, eastern Oklahoma, and central Texas; an isolated population occurs in peninsular Florida (Conant and Collins 1991, Powell et al. 1992, Ernst and Ernst 2003).
