Range Description

Occurs in the Atlantic-Carribbean drainage basins of Mexico from southern Tamaulipas to central Veracruz, westward into the eastern lowlands of San Luis Potosi, Hidalgo, Puebla and possibly Queretaro (Iverson 1992). A 2004 record of the species from Mexico state is in error (Ramirez-Bautista 2004).
