Range Description

This species is endemic to the Philippines. There are two subspecies, S. a. abdictus is presently known from the islands of Mindanao, Camiguin, Bohol, Samar, Leyte, Dinagat and Siargao; S. a. aquilonius is known from southern Luzon, Polilo, Catanduanes, and Lubang. It ranges from sea level to around 1,000 m asl.
