Range Description

This species is endemic to Iran, where it has been recorded from alpine meadows in the Elburz Mountains. Populations have been recorded between around 2,500 to 3,000m asl. It exists as highly fragmented populations, perhaps occupying only 10-15% of the mapped distribution (Gran Nilson pers. comm., September, 2008).
