Mesotardigrada

The class Mesotardigrada[3][4] has one species, Thermozodium esakii.[5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12] Rahm recorded it recorded in 1937 from a hot spring near Nagasak, Japan. The locus typicus has been destroyed by an earthquake and no other specimens have been found. The animal has six claws of equal length per foot. The type specimen has been lost, so the status of this class, Order Thermozodia and Family Thermozodiidae is dubious.[13]
